25.12.15 - Meeting and Greeting

The trip got off to a cracking start with the crew finally meeting in the flesh for the first time.

A few days was spent off grid at Smitswinkel bay at Baz and Jane’s “shack” on the beach. Plenty of swimming, planning, debating and a fantastic set of sailing race theory lectures held by Cameron, sharing his wisdom from many years of yacht racing.

Evenings were spent braai-ing (Proper BBQing, so i have learned) stargazing with the incredibly low light pollution and sharing many stories from days gone by.
